Let the symphonic music of the Warren Symphony Orchestra help welcome springtime to Metro Detroit! Â Tickets can be purchased at www.warrensymphonyorchestra.org or by calling the WSO offices at (586)754-2950.
On March 1, the WSO welcomes flute soloist Amanda Blaikie to perform Mozart Flute Concerto in G Major alongside the musicians. The piece is known for its charming, operatic, and lighthearted nature, just like springtime.
Then Beethoven, known for creating music with vigor and life, is honored through a performance of his Symphony No. 7, which classicalmovie.com calls his most rhythmically, intoxicating work.
Sunday, March 1
3 p.m.
Warren Woods Middle School Auditorium
13400 12 Mile Rd., Warren
 Â

On March 22, join us at Grosse Pointe Park’s Saint Clare Montefalco Parish for part of its 100th Anniversary Celebration for Mozart’s Requiem in D Minor in concert with the Oakland Choral Society and Macomb Chamber Choir, which equates more than 100 musicians. The requiem was composed as Mozart was facing his own death, which leads to profound emotional contrast throughout.
